соляной куст (название более чем 1400 разновидностей 100 родов кустарников или трав, принадлежащих к сем. Chenopodiaceae, чаще всего рода Atriplex и Rhagodix; эти кустарники произрастают на засолённых почвах морского побережья и центральных засушливых р-нов; растения рода Atriplex служат кормом для овец; предполагают, что содержащаяся в них соль благотворно действует на овечью шерсть и придаёт особый вкус мясу)
